How to Use CUTEK® Products: Video Guides
Five short walkthroughs covering every product in the CUTEK® lineup — stripping old coatings, restoring weathered wood, routine cleaning, applying CUTEK® Extreme, and mixing in a Colortone. Watch them in order if you’re starting a project from scratch, or jump to the one you need. For the full written steps, see our prep guide and application guide.
- Apply CUTEK® Extreme by focusing on stirring, coat thickness, and watching the oil diffuse into prepped wood.
- Mix a Colortone into clear CUTEK® Extreme before applying to preserve the freshly oiled color instead of letting wood silver.
- Use CUTEK® Wood Stripper first if the wood has old stain, paint, or sealer that would block penetration.
- CUTEK® Wood Reviver brightens gray, weathered, or mildew-stained wood and preps the surface for a fresh coat.
- CUTEK® Quickclean offers a fast, gentle routine wash before a maintenance coat, with no stripping or heavy scrubbing needed.
CUTEK® Extreme
This is the main event: applying CUTEK® Extreme itself once the wood is prepped and ready. The video covers stirring, coat thickness, and what to look for as the oil diffuses into the wood.
CUTEK® Colortone
Left clear, CUTEK® Extreme lets wood silver naturally in the sun. If you’d rather hold onto that freshly oiled color, this video shows how to mix a Colortone into clear CUTEK® Extreme before you apply it.

CUTEK® Wood Stripper
Start here if the wood already has an old stain, paint, or sealer on it. A film-forming coating has to come off completely before CUTEK® Extreme can penetrate, and this video walks through exactly how to strip it safely.
CUTEK® Wood Reviver
For wood that’s already gone gray and weathered, or that’s picked up mildew and surface staining, Wood Reviver brightens it back up and gets the surface ready to accept a fresh coat.
CUTEK® Quickclean
For wood that’s already coated with CUTEK® and just needs a routine wash before a maintenance coat, Quickclean is the fast, gentle option — no stripping or heavy scrubbing required.
